How Spiritually Blessed Are You?

We can say that the New Testament is another embodiment or a remake of the Old Testament. In Genesis, GOD blessed His creations after putting them into existence and gathering them in their own habitat. (Genesis 1:22, 28, 5:2).

Now, in the New Testament, the Word who is GOD who became flesh, Jesus Christ, blessed His followers after calling and gathering them too at the start of His Ministry. (John 1:1, 2,14, Matthew 5:1)

This also happened to fulfill the plan of GOD to bless His people. According to Isaiah 43:19, the LORD said;

“Behold, I will do a new thing,

Now it shall spring forth;

Shall you not know it?

I will even make a road in the wilderness

And rivers in the desert.”

This is the promise of GOD to reveal His Mercy to Israel. He forgave the iniquities of His people and covered all their sins. He set aside His wrath and turned from His fierce anger (Psalms 85:2-3). King David declared this as GOD’s blessings in Psalms 32:1-2 which says;

“1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,

Whose sin is covered.

2 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not ]impute iniquity,

And in whose spirit there is no deceit.”

No wonder why Jesus Christ had declared so much blessedness in the New Testament. In fact, all Spiritual blessings were availed before, and yet to avail if we must, since it was planned by GOD even before the world began. According to Ephesians 1:3-6,

3" Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.”

The Checklist below determines How Spiritually Blessed We Are. Blessedness here will define if we are really under the umbrella of Grace and Mercy of GOD. Thus score us also if we will escape and will be saved from the coming Great Wrath of GOD, and hence entitled to enjoy the promise of Eternal Life in Heaven as the children of GOD with Christ Jesus. So let’s find the truthfulness of the verses below in us, how blessed we are!

Matthew 5:3-11 (NKJV)

For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

James 1:12

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

Revelation 1:3

Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.

GOD in this checklist wants us to conform to the image of Christ, the Most Blessed One. Romans 8:28-30 also says; 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.”

What wonderful blessings that GOD is helping us even at this time through His words. How faithful HE is! HE left us the Scripture, His words so that we can continue to have fellowship with HIM. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

May this checklist find you in Peace and Love with the LORD. The LORD is so good that HE continue to complete the work HE started in us (Philippians 1:6)

Let’s not give up our blessedness.Our GOD is amazingly faithful. The LORD says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” AMEN
